#StackBounty: #mongodb How to start MongoDB Server Correctly?

Bounty: 50

I am having this problem, where I have MongoDB installed, when I do mongod in terminal, I get an error with:

>mongod --help for help and startup options
2017-02-25T23:03:36.624+0000 [initandlisten] MongoDB starting : pid=4824 port=27017 dbpath=/data/db 64-bit host=vadev-4458821
2017-02-25T23:03:36.624+0000 [initandlisten] db version v2.6.12

Then, if I want to run the Mongo Server it works by doing this:

>mongod --bind_ip=$IP --nojournal

Everytime, I don’t want to use the command above, does anyone knows what is
going on with my Mongo?
