#StackBounty: #drivers #kubuntu #mouse #touchpad #kde Kubuntu plasma thinks mouse is connected and disables touchpad

Bounty: 100

I am running Kubuntu 18.04 with Plasma KDE desktop environment on my Dell XPS 13 9350.

Recently I have been using this laptop as my desktop computer, with a USB-C hub to connect it to a screen and to an ethernet cable, and I connected my mouse on this hub as well. However, after disconnecting the hub, for some reason the touchpad was still disabled, even when no mouse was connected to the laptop. I have tried rebooting and playing with the settings, but nothing seems to work. When I connect the mouse I can still move the cursor without any problems.

Also, every time I reboot the computer I get a Plasma KDE notification saying that the touchpad was disabled because there is a mouse connected, even if there is no mouse.

What can I do to enable my touchpad to its former glory?

Thanks,
VECH
