#StackBounty: #samsung #google #mobile-data Google apps not working on mobile data, although non-Google apps are working

Bounty: 50

I have a strange problem on my Samsung J2 Android phone. Although apps like WhatsApp and some games which require Internet work, none of the Google Apps like Google, Chrome, YouTube and Play Store are working. Whenever I open the Google apps, it shows "Check your internet connection" although my mobile data is on. But, on connecting my phone to a Wi-Fi network, these apps work. How can I fix this?

#StackBounty: #amazon-web-services #google #single-sign-on #identity-management How can I pass login_hint/authuser to Google IdP when u…

Bounty: 50

I have configured AWS SSO to use Google as an IdP. It’s working fine.

However, since I have multiple google accounts I often have to go through the multiple login ‘chooser’.

When accessing Google services I can use a bookmark/URL like this to jump past the multiple login page

https://mail.google.com/mail/?authuser=user@domain1.com
https://mail.google.com/mail/?authuser=an-other-user@domain1.com
https://mail.google.com/mail/?authuser=user@domain2.com

Is there an equivalent for AWS SSO start url?

e.g.

In .aws/config I have something like this:

[profile admin]
sso_start_url = https://XXXXX.awsapps.com/start
sso_account_id = XXXXX
sso_role_name = AdministratorAccess

What can I add to the sso_start_url such that it is passed to Google IdP during the SSO handshake, each aws account is associated with a single google identity, so I will never need to choose google account for a given aws cli profile.

I’ve tried

# This has no effect
sso_start_url = https://XXXXX.awsapps.com/start?authuser=user@domain1.com

# OIDC seems to support login_hint, but this has no effect
sso_start_url = https://XXXXX.awsapps.com/start?login_hint=user@domain1.com

Perhaps some configuration is required on the AWS or Google end to support this?

#StackBounty: #seo #google #googlebot #cache-control #crawl-rate How to limit Google crawling certain URL patterns?

Bounty: 50

recently we have updated our e-commerce website, where each product category has product filter. There is around 30 attributes which can be used for filtering products shown in category. These attribute filters are implemented as URL parts added to product category URL like so:

Simple product category URL: www.domain.com/product-category

Product category URL with one attribute filter: www.domain.com/product-category/filter1

Product category URL with two attribute filters: www.domain.com/product-category/filter1/filter2

And so on…..

So having around 30 attribute filters there can be A LOT of their combinations and therefore exponentialy increasing number of all available URLs to Google, for example: www.domain.com/product-category/filter2/filter4 or www.domain.com/product-category/filter5/filter9/filter12 and so on ….

Google’s traffic hit us very hard, because right now is continuous traffic rate around 30Mbits only to Google alone, indexing right now around 100 million pages from our domain (before this filter feature we had around 5000 indexed pages).

What I need to do is to find a way how to tell Google not to index all the 100 million pages over and over again, but only, let’s say, once a week or so…. Because right now, Google is indexing all the pages over and over again.

I have tried to set the HTTP headers cache-control: public, max-age:604800 and expires: header one week in future. But I have no idea if Google will use them at all. I don’t want to block Google from entirely indexing these pages with attribute filter in URL, but I just want Google to index them not so often.

Is there a way how to achieve this ?

Thanks for any advice or hint in advance.

#StackBounty: #google #web-hosting #redirects #google-adsense #google-app-engine How can I redirect my Google App Engine naked domain t…

Bounty: 50

Google Adsense now requires a file “ads.txt” in the root of the domain:

Upload the file to the root level domain of your site (for example,
https://example.com/ads.txt).

I use enom with Google App Engine (python runtime). My main site is with www as a CNAME www.example.com and a redirect from naked domain to www but now I want the naked domain example.com/ads.txt to redirect to www.example.com/ads.txt.

The problem is that example.com/ads.txt redirects without the path to the home page of www.example.com/.

I don’t understand how to fix it. I don’t know if it should be done in the enom console, in the Google G Suite console (where I have enabled the redirect from the naked domain to www) or in my web framework (using webapp2 but changing it to flask).

Related problem is that HTTPS for the naked domain does not work (https://example.com) and does not redirect, but HTTPS works for the www and other subdomains.

How can I proceed? The site is this one and it is a Google App Engine project.

I enabled the redirect in the google GSuite web console under “domains” where it says:

Redirect the naked domain http://example.com to
http://www.example.com Change redirect To enable this redirect,
you must change the A record with your domain host.

Apparently the above setting once set cannot be undone. I also set the DNS records exactly as stated by Google. The site does respond at www subdomain and does the redirect but the URL path and query are not preserved.

Bounty: 500

My current laptop has a standard (QWERTY) English-Hebrew keyboard that came with my Dell Latitude laptop; nothing is customized.

I need to use Thai letters in general and in a Libre Office Writer (LBW) document in particular.

My problem

I thought to install a Google Virtual Keyboard but I am not sure output would automatically be inside a document edited with LBW.

My question?

How to use a virtual keyboard inside Libre Office Writier?

That is to ask; This Gmail solution seems nice but how could I implement this or similar FOSS and Gratis solution (not necessarily by Google) in the OS layer?

#StackBounty: #google #google-analytics #google-adwords #conversions #universal-analytics Google Ads – Cross-Subdomain conversions not …

Bounty: 200

GOAL

Leverage Google Analytics conversions in Google Ads so I can see which ads/keywords/etc. are resulting in conversions.

CURRENT STATE

Goals are set in GA to key off of an event. I’m using the GA API to push an event to GA via C# code (there is no unique page view in the app that would indicate a successful conversion).

I can see conversions in GA, but they never show up in Google Ads. As a result, all of my ads/keywords have a conversion rate of 0%, even though I have had conversions as a result of ads being clicked.

SCENARIO

  • Ads drive traffic to https://www.example.com
  • Call-to-action buttons direct traffic to https://app.example.com (subdomain)
  • Signups (conversions) happen on the subdomain.
  • Google Ads & Analytics accounts are linked
  • Analytics code in place using Universal Analytics code copied onto every page of the both sites with cookieDomain set to auto with the same property ID.
  • Google Ads conversion has been set up to use Google Analytics as the source for conversion data.
  • This is probably key — as I typed this question out, I noticed that all conversion events in Google Analytics have a Source/Medium value of “(direct) / (none)” indicating to me that Google Analytics may not be working cross-subdomain.
    • I would think that I should be seeing CPC values here since these conversions originally came from Google Ads. Maybe that’s being lost cross-subdomain but sessions appear to be tracked properly (i.e. a visitor coming in on www. is shown as the same visitor in GA when they navigate to app., it doesn’t show as a second session.

Any thoughts on what I should be looking at to fix this?

#StackBounty: #google #drupal #google-search-ads-360 Find visitors source(google source) who completes lead generation form?

Bounty: 50

I’m tracking the lead generation form conversions using Google Analytics and using Google Ads to drive paid traffic to the website. I’m using Drupal 7 as CMS for the website.

Most of the inorganic visitors who come from GAds, bounce back without completing the form. Let’s say, Visitor ‘A’ visits the website by clicking Google Ads and bounces back without completing the form. After a day or so Visitor ‘A’ comes back to the website ‘directly’, and then completes the form. How to automate this tracking and find that the visitors’ main source was Google Ads even though he later comes back directly by typing the website’s address?
